Under the efforts of DTVNEL(Beijing) and Chinese Potevio Group, on August 24th 2010, Jo Khanna Lie, the Minister of Cambodia News Department signed an announcement about regulation of digital TV transmission and technological standard for National TV station (Cambodian news department No. 499). Jo Khanna Lie announced that their country would adopt DTMB TV standard in this terrestrial digital multimedia transmission project. On September 15th, Jo Khanna Lie emphasized the above viewpoint again in China-ASEAN meeting.

From 25th to 28th, October, under the invitation of DTVNEL and Chinese Potevio Group, KAM GUNAWADH, the leader of national TV station of Cambodia went to Laos to investigate the situation of terrestrial digital television construction. KAM also expressed that the TV station of Cambodia would adopt DTMB standard next year to construct their digital television networks and he hoped China could assist them. KAM said that he was willing to promote more countries of ASEAN to choose DTMB standard as their national digital television standard.
