On 12th, January, 2012, Mr. Sura Gaintanasilp, the Executive of MCOT of Thailand, and Dr. Jitkasame Ngarmnil, Chief executive of IEC of Thailand, led a delegation of ten Thai enterprises to visit DTVNEL. This year, Thailand will select an international DTV standard instead of Analog TV domestically . The purpose of delegation's visit is responsible for selecting an international DTV standards on behalf of Thai government. Professor Yang Zhixing, the Chairman of our laboratory warmly received Thai delegation,  Mr. Zhang Weimin, the general secretary of AVS industry alliance and participated in the meeting.
 

During the meeting, Professor Yang Zhixing delivered an excellent speech to guests, he introduced the development progress of China's digital TV standard and the research process of the latest evolution system DTMB-A. He highlighted the late-development advantage of China's DTMB standard which is able to handle all kinds of multimedia businesses and comprehensive broadcasting services, the advanced technology of DTMB standard has been fully proved in the comparison tests at South America from 2007 to 2009.

The Thai delegation listened carefully to the introduction of Professor Yang, Mr. Sura Gaintanasilp highly appreciates Professor Yang with his excellent presentation.He says although Thailand have joined DVB group, but it is still suspended which international DTV standard to be selected for Thai. He believes that the Chinese DTMB standard has stronger competitiveness than other international DTV standards. He will push Thai government to send some experts to DTVNEL for further technical exchanges and relevant training.

After the meeting, Thai delegation visited our open laboratory to see E-DTMB and DTMB-A demonstration system, guests are very interested in these two evolution systems of DTMB. Before the delegation's leaving, Mr. Sura Gaintanasilp kindly invites Professor Yang Zhixing to visit Thailand in short future.
